Outside Shows First Ascent Some Major Love

Check out what the experts had to say.

Arctic Surf Featured in Outside Magazine

Outside Magazine online featured a six-page spread on the First Ascent- sponsored Arctic Surf expedition. The article chronicles the month-long journey of the six professional surfers as they braved the 30-to-40 degree Fahrenheit waters off Lofoten Islands, the southern portion of a secluded archipelago in northwestern Norway, in search of untamed waves and undiscovered breaks. First Ascent Highlighted in Outside Winter Buyer’s Guide

FA Guide Seth Waterfall Gears Up in the Mountain Guide Jacket

From puffies and shells to insulating layers, First Ascent captured the attention of Outside magazine’s Winter Buyer’s Guide.

Mountain Guide Jacket
“This water-resistant, quick-drying shell is lightweight but still roomy enough to layer underneath.”

Bat Hang Hoodie
“A piece we kept coming back to: it’s soft, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying and has a hood for extra warmth.”

Peak XV Down Jacket
“Easily the warmest jacket here, the XV is absolutely stuffed with top-tier down (850 fill) and wrapped in a tougher-than-average DWR nylon shell. It’s a bit heavier–but a lot burlier–than other down jackets we tested.”
