“Arriving in Kilimanjaro with this group, I wasn’t really sure how the trip was going to play out. They were an incredibly diverse group, all very successful in their own right, but no one really came with any climbing experience. Each day, Kenna spoke with the group and refocused everyone on the reasons why we were here climbing this mountain. When the trail was steep or the rain particularly hard, I heard the climbers talking about water issues…as distraction and motivation. I have never seen a group of people commit so thoroughly to being a team and working together for a goal.”
