First Ascent on the Podium at X Games

First Ascent met up with Alberto Schiavon last week and shared some gear with him. We were lucky enough to be his chosen jacket – the Mountain Guide Jacket – on the podium.

First Ascent would like to congratulate Alberto Schiavon, Snowboard X bronze medalist at the 2010 Winter X Games. The Italian World Cup racer and Olympic contender stood on the podium at Winter X for the first time. Alberto fought his way through one of the most competitive fields in Winter X Games history in a thrilling final.

“Well, it’s pretty hard to describe how I feel, being Italian and to win a medal in what is considered the biggest event in the world of extreme sports is just an honor. I am stoked; this will give me the right confidence and the perfect approach to attack the Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. See you there.”
